I had long been a fan of Kinfolk Magazine when I was approached to style a dinner in partnership with New City Arts and in celebration of Kinfolk's new cookbook The Kinfolk Table. I chose a private barn in the country for this intimate farm-to-table dinner. Guests mingled with cocktails (and were joined by some friendly goats!) as the sun set over the Blue Ridge and then were seated inside the barn at long farmtables for a dinner specially prepared by chef Gay Beery. The flowers were mostly foraged, and I kept the design pared back to reflect the simplicity and comfort of a shared meal together around the table.
